Advisor for Youth Resources & Sports, Er. Zale Neikha inaugurated the much awaited Village Gate named “KIDIMI KHARU” in the presence of a host of dignitaries, government officials, frontal organisations and well-wishers at Kidima on, Kohima 13th July 2021.
Speaking on the occasion, Neikha lauded the people of Kidima village for erecting a gigantic and magnificent gate which he said was an epitome of unity and cooperation. He thanked the Department of RD for extending financial assistance not only for the construction of gate but also for all round development activities in the village.
Neikha dwelled on the importance of increasing food grains and its productivity since the village has been declared as “Vegetable Village” by the Government of Nagaland and said such that a tag is rare and unique. He therefore urged the people of Kidima village to put concerted effort with renewed vigour in enhancing agricultural productivity. He emphasised on the importance of commercialization of agriculture produce instead of adopting subsistence agriculture in order to boast our economy.
He said many a time, public properties funded by government are not well preserved and protected and encouraged building of public utilities with the help peer groups and other voluntary contributions. All round development should be followed by cleanliness, he added. He also urged the villagers to get vaccinated at the earliest in order to avert any eventuality.
BDO, R.D Block Jakhama, Khovi Thaprű in his greetings expressed appreciation to the people of Kidima for all round development in the village. He said erecting a big gate is not only a pride for Kidima alone but also a pride for the whole neighbouring villages as well. He lauded the village leaders working at the grassroots level for showing unity and cooperation on all fronts. Therefore, he urged the new KVC and VDB members to continue the same spirit.
VDB Secretary, Kevizeho Rote in his report stated that ₹ 46.70 lakhs has been incurred for construction of gate which was funded by the Department of RD.
KVC Chairman, Vitsu Rikha chaired the programme while vote of thanks was proposed by KVC Secretary, Vikedul Kotso. A special number was presented by Vikenoto Ltu.
Pastor CRC, Videse Pucho invoked God’s blessing while Neisa Thol proposed the traditional blessing during the inaugural programme.
