The monthly meeting of district planning and development board was held on 8th October 2020 at DC conference hall, Zunheboto. Deputy Commissioner Peter Lichamo chaired the meeting, chairman Zunheboto DPDB K.T. Sukhalu, Advisor School education was also present at the meeting.

The meeting discussed grant in aid to the following schools, ie step by step school, Olympic higher secondary school, Bloomfield school, new era school and Eden school. Two schools under Zunheboto district which was put up to be upgraded to Government Higher Secondary school was also discussed and the Advisor gave an assurance that he will look into the matter.

Advisor School, Education K.T. Sukhalu who is also the chairman of Zunheboto DPDB applauded the medical team and district task force led by Deputy commissioner for doing a commendable job by containing the Corona virus in Zunheboto district but added that the virus is far from over and asked all the members to maintain precautionary measures.  He also said that he has spoken to higher authorities for more truenat machine in the district.

He asked the HODs to make aware the various government schemes and projects both new and old ones, to the general public as majority of the people are engaged in agriculture sector and most of the time they remain ignorant about schemes and projects. He also asked the NSDMA department not to keep files pending as due to excess rainfall there has been a lot of natural calamities. The advisor also appealed to the field officer's to encouraged the villagers to send their children to government schools as there are highly qualified teachers.
