Zunheboto district received a consignment of 16 nos. of 10 liters oxygen concentrators from United Way India, Mumbaion 12 July 2021. The free aid which was initiated by Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo, comes as a major boost mainly for the sub-divisions of the district as the concentrators would focus on PHCs and CHCs, informed the DC and Dy. CMO, Dr Akaho Sema, while talking to the media persons. Lichamo added that, the significance of the consignment would be visible when lives are saved because of it. He also thanked and appreciated the gesture of the organization.
United Way India, affiliated to the Global United Way network, the world's largest privately funded, non-profit organization improves lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities to advance the common good and the organization operates with the belief that 'we rise or fall together' and adds that we all have a stake in the betterment of the community and the goal is to bring people together.
The consignment was later handed over to Dy. CMO by DC Zunheboto.
