The Zunheboto DPDB held its monthly meeting on 15th April 2021 at DC’s conference hall which was chaired by DC Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo.

The house reviewed on selection of a location for setting up of Public Park at Zunheboto and the search committee brought forward a suitable location at Lizu Naghuto. The House agreed to take up the issue with the higher authority.

Dr. M Nungshisangla Jamir provided information about the Covid-19 vaccination status where she said that till date, 736 health care workers and 1798 frontline workers have been vaccinated and 2,148 persons between 45 and 59 years have been vaccinated and 1,185 persons above the age of 60 years have been vaccinated. She added that Tikka Utsav (Covid vaccination Mela) was organised from 11 to 14 April 2021 at Zunheboto HQ, Pughoboto CHC, Suruhuto PHC, Akuluto PHC, Satakha CHC and Atoizu PHC at church campuses and Covid vaccination centers. She also added that though state government has not issued any direction to kick off Covid immunization activities at sub center/ village level, however on request by the Village Council of Phuye old, Phuye new, Tichipami and Sapotomi the department conducted the activities during the Mela in these villages.

           SP Zunheboto, T. Uniel Kichu, IPS informed that henceforth any person roaming around without mask will be penalized a sum of Rs. 100 and a sum of Rs. 500 for shops, hotels etc. if found without hand sanitizer.

          The agenda discussed included creation of town council at Akuluto town, where the House concluded that it was an essential need and so decided to send the proposal to the Government.

          PowerPoint presentation was presented by the Department of Land Resource by DPO Vikugha Sema. He said that till date 98 villages have been covered under micro village watershed and under activities of micro enterprise 28 carpentry materials, three blacksmith materials, one salon material, one sewing machine, one weaving material and brass cutter materials were provided to the beneficiaries.
