The 2nd Edition Home, a photography Exhibition, at Box Cutting Footpath, behind Kohima War Cemetery, got underway on the 5th of December 2022.

Deputy Director, IPR Siewatho Nyusuo in his inaugural speech said the exhibition was a pleasant occasion to depict something good about the people's way of life, tradition, and cultures. He added previously photography was only the professional photographers but nowadays, photography has become important as everyone has a smartphone to take a photo that has become a trend, but the quality of the photographs by professionals stand out as it speaks volumes about the feelings of the people and the intention to express their mind and feelings. The Deputy Director also said “as we experience new days every day, let us try to create good memories for our beautiful tomorrow” and also expressed his gratitude for honoring DIPR to be a part of the exhibition.   

Zhazo Miachieo in his introductory speech highlighted that the photography exhibition was started in 2019 by four professional independent photographers Seyie Suohu, Rajin Limbu, Albert Rutsa, and Zhazo Miachieo to exhibit their works to the viewers in Nagaland it is a new tread and they wanted to tell the viewers their stories about how they interact with the surroundings, the societies, culture, developments and the advancement of technology. Zhazo Miachieo also added the exhibition was titled ‘Home’ as each of the photographers wanted to tell a story about the features of hope and sadness, about life, society, and human nature.

The exhibition would be a 5-day event, from 5th December to 10th December 2022.
