The inauguration of the newly constructed Additional Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex and the Higher Secondary Block of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Tening, was held at the Town Hall on July 3, 2025. Advisor for CAWD & Taxes, Kudecho Khamo and MLA, Namri Nchang graced the inaugural program as Special Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. The event was also attended by dignitaries, officials, and local residents. Advisor, Kudecho Khamo formally inaugurated both the facilities, marking a significant milestone for the Tening subdivision.

In his inaugural speech, Khamo expressed gratitude for giving him the opportunity to inaugurate the buildings. He encouraged citizens to treat government assets with pride and emphasized Tening's natural beauty and potential. He stressed the importance of productivity beyond government jobs, noting that transparency is now central to governance and that people must strive for excellence in all sectors.

MLA, Namri Nchang praised the government for making tangible progress in the region by improving administrative and educational infrastructure. He expressed optimism that these developments would be followed by much-needed investment in road infrastructure, which has long been neglected. He stated that improving connectivity would not only fulfil people's long-held hopes, but would also boost economic growth by reducing travel time and increasing access to essential services and markets with neighbouring towns and cities.

Deputy Commissioner of Peren, Hiazu Meru and Assistant Chief Engineer (CAWD), Er. Sungtiba Amer also spoke at the program.

Rev. Kamwang Rentta offered the invocation prayer and ADC Tening, K. Furhesie Nyuwi proposed the welcome address. The event featured a melodious male voice performance by Tening village. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Rosca Jimo, Vice Principal of GHSS, Tening.
