Two unknown miscreants shot dead one person who is in his 40s on the night of 4th August, 2020 around 8:00 P.M at New Beisumpui Village under Peren District. The gruesome incident took place when the deceased was alone at his place.

The deceased has been identified as Dichungbe Newme S/o Lt. Namdaiwangbe of New Beisumpui Village who was serving as Jugali in Power Dept. posted in the said village. The deceased was originally from Nzauna Village under Nsong EAC Hq.

An FIR has been lodged at Ahthibung Police Station and the mortal remains of the deceased was taken to Dimapur by Police team headed by Ahthibung O.C for post mortem examination.

In support of the deceased family, Nzauna Lui Baudi also submitted a representation to SDO (C) Ahthibung for further investigation against the heinous crime committed.
