Awareness Programme on e-Shram Portal (National Database of Unorganised Workers) for various categories of workers under the aegis of Ministry of Labour & Employment, Goverment of India, was held on 28th October 2021 at DC Conference Hall, Noklak. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Noklak, Hiazu Meru encouraged the workers to get enrolled who are eligible under the scheme. The DC emphasized on documents like Aadhaar card, bank account and mobile number which is primarily required for direct benefits schemes and other documentation. The district administration is ready to assist all the requirements for the successful implementation of scheme in the district, DC added. Assistant Labour Commissioner, Tuensang with additional charge of Noklak, Lilongla Sangtam highlighted on the importance of getting registered in the portal for availing all kinds of benefits from the Government. Under the scheme the following beneficiaries which includes Construction worker, Migrant worker, Gig & Platform worker, Domestic Worker, Agriculture worker and other unorganised worker, She added. Lilongla highlighted on benefits for unorganised workers and registration on e-Shram portal and once registered, the beneficiaries will get e-Shram card which will be valid across the country. She also explained on mode of registration and eligibility for registration that is 16-59 years of age. Khengo from CSC center Noklak explain in detail regarding the objective of the Portal. Chairing the meeting, SDO (Civil) Noklak, C Phuniang called upon the gathering to disseminate information to all the beneficiaries under Noklak district to enrol themselves and get benefit from the scheme.
