In commemoration of 75 years of India's Independence, Azadi Amrit Mahotsav, the District Health Society Peren, organized a Block Level Health Mela at PHC Ahthibung, Peren on 30th April 2022.
The motive of the camp was not only to diagnose and treat the patients but also to counsel them about their health condition and the measures they are supposed to take to avoid health-related problems in the future. The camp was also held to create health awareness and emphasize the importance of health in the community.
Various ailments were screened and checked by a team of doctors including a medicine specialist, a dentist, a skin specialist, an Ayush MO, an ophthalmic assistant, four CHOs, and various nurses, lab technicians, and assistants. The District team led by Dr. Kiholi DPO (RCH & UIP) was also present and assisted.
Altogether, 262 OPDs were recorded, 78 diabetes and hypertension screenings were done, 23 ARSH Clinic attendees, 55 Cataract Screening, 40 Yoga & Meditation participants, 5 TB Screening, 50 screening for Oral Cancer, 10 Malaria Screening, 3 Hepatitis B screening, 30 ABHA Health IDs created and 10 Ayushman Bharat Health Cards were also issued during the health mela.
The Health Camp was successfully organized and conducted under the guidance of Dr. Vezokholu, MO, AYUSH together with Dr. Thangmang MO, Dr. Arba, MO, and Temsumenla Kipgen, BPM Ahthibung Block.
