The full text is as follows :

“As on today, the total number of positive cases in the State stands at 198. Out of this, the total active cases are 73, and 125 have recovered. All the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals.

As per the severity of symptoms, all the 73 active cases are asymptomatic.

As per the distribution of the 198 cases by age, there are 4 cases between 0-17 years, 187 cases between 18-44 years, 5 cases between 45-64 years and 2 cases between 65-74 years. As per the distribution of gender, there are 126 males and 72 females.

Till date, a total of 8,174 samples have been tested. The results of 6,989 samples have been received and 1,185 samples are awaited. Out of the 8,174 samples, a total of 5,101 samples have been received at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) till today, and a total of 4,479 samples have been tested.

The Cabinet in its meeting today, received briefings on the overall COVID-19 situation in the State from the Health Department and the Home Department.”
