BRIEFING ON COVID-19 ON 1st OF NOVEMBER 2020 FOR NAGALAND BY PRINCIPAL SECRETARY, HOME

The full text is as follows:

 

“A total of ­­28 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today – 4 in Kohima, 22 in Dimapur, 1 in Longleng and 1 in Mon. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 9,075.

Out of the 9,075 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 7,454. The active cases are 1,499 and there have been 33 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms 1,425 active cases are asymptomatic, 43 active cases are mild, 15 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 8 active cases are severe on oxygen, 5 active cases  are critical with oxygen and 3 active cases are on ventilator.

Further, out of 9,075 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 3,950 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,658 cases of Returnees, 3,025 cases of Traced Contacts and 442 cases of Frontline Workers.

A total of 62,307 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 60,941 samples have been received. In addition, a total 33,723 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 33,690 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 3,944 samples have been tested.
