The Full Text is as Follows:

“A total of 53 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today and the total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 4003. Active surveillance and contact tracing is in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.

Out of the 4003 positive cases, the total active cases are 793 and there have been 8 deaths till now. As per the severity of symptoms, 782 active cases are asymptomatic, 10 active cases are mild and 1 active case is moderate.

Further, out of the 4003 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 1,703 cases from Armed Forces, 1,268 cases from Returnees, 288 cases of Frontline Workers and 744 cases of Traced Contacts.

A total of 38,929 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 37,596 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 23,405 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 23, 284 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test, results for 802 samples have been received. In all, results for 61, 682 samples have been received till today.

A total of 1,179 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine”.
