The Full Text is as Follows:

“A total of 25 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today and the total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 3,583. The positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres. Further, active surveillance and contact tracing is also in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.

Out of the 3,583 positive cases, the total active cases are 1,648 and there are 7 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 1,624 active cases are asymptomatic, 22 active case is mild and 2 active cases are moderate.

Further, out of the 3,583 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are 1,567 cases of Armed Forces, 1,198 cases of Returnees, 238 cases of Frontline Workers and 580 cases of Traced Contacts.

A total of 33,504 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 32,161 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 21,497 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat.

A total 1,605 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine”.
