The Full Text is as Follows:

“A total of 36 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today and the total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 3,619. The positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres. Further, active surveillance and contact tracing is also in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.

Out of the 3,619 positive cases, the total active cases are 1,530 and there are 7 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 1,509 active cases are asymptomatic, 20 active cases are mild and 1 active case is moderate.

Further, out of the 3,619 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are 1,570 cases of Armed Forces, 1,201 cases of Returnees, 239 cases of Frontline Workers and 609 cases of Traced Contacts.

A total of 34,188 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 32,588 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 21,701 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat.

A total 1,508 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine.
