BRIEFING ON COVID-19 ON 31st OF OCTOBER 2020 FOR NAGALAND BY PRINCIPAL SECRETARY, HOME

The full text is as follows:

 

“A total of ­102 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today – 16 in Kohima, 84 in Dimapur and 2 in Mon. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 9,047.

Out of the 9,047 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 7,375. The active cases are 1,552 and there have been 33 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms 1,478 active cases are asymptomatic, 49 active cases are mild, 6 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 9 active cases are severe on oxygen, 7 active cases are critical with oxygen and 3 active cases are on ventilator.

Further, out of 9,047 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 3,934 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,656 cases of Returnees, 3,019 cases of Traced Contacts and 438 cases of Frontline Workers.

A total of 61,874 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 60,793 samples have been received. In addition, a total 33,612 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 33,556 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 3,922 samples have been tested.”
