The Full Text is as Follows:

 

“A total of 49 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today and the total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 4,066. Active surveillance and contact tracing is also in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.

Out of the 4,066 positive cases detected so far, the recoveries till now are 3,314. The active cases are 732 and there have been 8 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 726 active cases are asymptomatic and 6 active cases are mild.

Further, out of the 4,066 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 1,726 cases from Armed Forces, 1,278 cases from Returnees, 297cases of Frontline Workers and 765 cases of Traced Contacts.

A total of 39,769 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR, and results of 38,681 samples have been received. On Truenat, the results of 23, 638 samples have been received. In addition through Rapid Antigen Test, 840 samples have been tested.

A total of 1,080 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine”.
