“A meeting of the High Powered Committee on COVID-19 was held today under the Chairmanship of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Nagaland with the Co-Chairman, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister along with Members, the Hon’ble Minister, Health & FW, Hon’ble Minister, Planning, LR & Parliamentary Affairs, Hon’ble Advisor, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Hon’ble Advisor, IT & ST and NRE and senior officials of the State Government.
The High Powered Committee reviewed COVID-19 management and lockdown measures in the State. In this regard, a revised SOP for returnees and travellers entering Nagaland will be issued soon.
As regard the total number of COVID-19 cases detected today, it is 57 cases- 28 in Kohima, 26 in Dimapur, 1 in Mon, 1 in Mokokchung and 1 in Peren. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 9,264.
Out of the 9,264 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 8,078. The active cases are 1,055 and there have been 39 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms 999 active cases are asymptomatic, 36 active cases are mild, 8 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 7 active cases are severe on oxygen, 2 active cases are critical without oxygen and 3 active cases are on ventilator.
Further, out of 9,264 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 3,995 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,666 cases of Returnees, 3,151 cases of Traced Contacts and 452 cases of Frontline Workers.
A total of 63,550 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 62,238 samples have been received. In addition, a total 34,038 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 34,028 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 4,268 samples have been tested.”
