A total of 50 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today- 42 in Dimapur, 7 in Kohima and 1 in Mon. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 4,178. Active surveillance and contact tracing is also in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.

Out of the 4, 178 positive cases detected so far, the recoveries till now are 3,501. The active cases are 657 and as per the severity of symptoms, 646 active cases are asymptomatic, 10 are mild and 1 is moderate.

Further, out of the 4,178 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 1,786  cases are from Armed Forces, 1,296 cases from Returnees, 308 cases of Frontline Workers and 788 cases of Traced Contacts.

The results of 40,607 samples have been received through RT-PCR tests. On Truenat, the results of 24,069 samples have been received. In addition through Rapid Antigen Test, 879   samples have been tested. In all 65,555 samples have been tested till today

A total of 773 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine.
