The full text is as follows:

“A total of 93 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today and the total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 2,781. The positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres. Active surveillance and contact tracing is also in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.

Out of the 2,781 positive cases, the total active cases are 1,866 and there are 8 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 1,863 active cases are asymptomatic, 1 active case is mild and 2 active cases are moderate.

Further, out of the 2,781 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 1,226 cases from Armed Forces, 1,072 cases from Returnees, 196 cases from Frontline Workers, 233 cases of Traced Contacts and 54 cases are of Others.

A total of 28,722 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR till now and results of 26,962 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 18,659 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat.

A total of 2,032 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine.

Please practise frequent hand washing with soap and water or alcohol based sanitizers. In public places always wear face mask and maintain social distancing.”
