The Chief Secretary, Nagaland, Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS, has issued a notification consequent to the onboarding of the “Jeevan Pramaan - Digital Life Certificate” by the Government of Nagaland for obtaining the Life Certificate of pensioners for the continued disbursement of pension to various categories of pensioners under the State Government, as well as pensioners of other State Governments/Central Government pensioners drawing pension through the Government of Nagaland.

A Life Certificate issued online through the Jeevan Pramaan portal, based on their Aadhaar Number and Pension Payment Order (PPO) Number, shall be accepted for pensioners drawing pension through the Government of Nagaland.

Accordingly, the following shall be adopted for acceptance of the Life Certificate of pensioners:

The Jeevan Pramaan – Digital Life Certificate system shall be used for the purpose of verification through Aadhaar Biometric Authentication and shall also be accepted as a valid certificate. This document may be accessed through the website www.jeevanpramaan.gov.in⁠ by the Pension Disbursing Agency without insisting either on personal appearance of the pensioner or a Life Certificate by the competent authority referred to above.
