Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Anoop Kinchi IAS, has in an order informed all concerned that wholesale Medical Shops along Christian Literature Center lane, Nyamo Lotha Road (Church Road) will be permitted to open from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon with effect from 20th April 2020. The order from DC stated that shops located on the opposite side would remain sealed till further order.

The order also stated that only retailers shops with permit/passes issued by the Nagaland Medical Dealers Association (NMDA) will be allowed to procure medicine/medical equipment from the medical wholesale shops.( no individual customers will be allowed)

The order further said that the following precautionary measures are to be mandatorily observed:

  1. To mandatorily keep hand sanitizers or provide facilities for hand washing with soap and water for the public as well as for their own staffs/workers. Further, the proprietor of the shops and establishments should regularly get the door handles, surfaces and other objects which are frequently touched by people, cleaned and disinfected.
  2. Sales person, shopkeepers and other persons in contact with high number of people should wear masks and maintain 1 meter distance.
