DC KOHIMA INFORMS
Gregory Thejawelie NCS, Deputy Commissioner Kohima, taking cognizance of the violations of safety and preventive measures notified by the government has issued the following directives for strict compliance of the general public in Kohima District.
- Sale of Gutka and other tobacco product is strictly prohibited.
- Spitting in all public places is strictly prohibited.
Violation of this order is punishable as per section 51 of DM Act and section 188 of IPC. Anybody found doing so maybe punishable under the above mentioned act and will also have to pay huge fines. Strict implementation of this order has to be followed by all concern. This order will come into force with immediate effect.
