Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS, has notified that in view of the detection of 1 (One) COVID-19 positive Staff in the Office of the Executive Engineer, PHED (Urban), Kohima Nagaland, the District Task Force (DTF) during its emergency meeting held on 19th July 2020 decided to seal the Office w.e.f 20th July 2020.

Hence, as per the guidelines on preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 in workplace settings issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Directorate General of Health Services (EMR Division), Government Of India, Dated 18th May 2020, the aforementioned Office is hereby temporarily closed/shut for 48 (Forty Eighty) hours wherein fumigation of the premises is being initiated, following all health Safety measures and SOPs of the Government.

The sealed area is mapped and cordoned off and the public and all concerned are advised to follow all safety precautions of wearing masks all the time, frequently washing hands and maintain social/physical distances to ensure public hygiene and personal safety within the proximity of the sealed area.
