DC PEREN NOTIFIES ON SELECTION OF VCMs

            In partial modification of the Office notification of even number dated Peren the 10th March, 2021 and in pursuance to direction received from the Government of Nagaland, Home Department (General Administrative Branch 1), Deputy Commissioner of Peren, Sentiwapang Aier has informed that the process for selection of new Village Councils Members (VCMs) for the next tenure is extended and the whole exercise should be completed on or before 30th April, 2021.

            Further, as per section 16 (6) and 16 (8) of the Nagaland Village and Tribal Council Act  (1978), all villages concerned are to obtain declarations from persons whose names are being forwarded for VCMs as per the declarations given below:

1. That he is not a salaried Government servant.
2. That he is not a member of another village council.

            The Order also stated that all necessary documents along with the self-declarations are to be submitted to the Office latest by 29th April, 2021 for onward submission to the Government for approval.
