DC TUENSANG DIRECTS PET OWNERS

District Administration Tuensang has come to the notice that dogs/domesticated animals are venturing into the COVID Hospital Tuensang and rummaging through hospital waste bins and feeding on leftover foods and it posing a threat to public health and safety especially in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

            In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant IAS has issued an order on 3rd July 2020 to all pet owners under Tuensang to restrain dogs/domesticated animals so as to prevent their venturing out and possible transmission of COVID-19 and other diseases. Failure to comply to the order shall invite strict actions on owners of such animals as per the provisions of Law. This order shall come into force with immediate effect.
