In continuation of DC office Longleng letter No. LLG/DEV-33/2009-10/308,dated LLG the 5th Nov 2019,pertaining to the protection of Amur Falcon, notice has been issued to all the concerned that "Amur Falcon is protected under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, trapping killing and selling of Amur Falcon is a criminal offence punishable with 3(three) years rigorous imprisonment or with fine of Rs. 25000/- or both under section 51 of the said Act.
Therefore, the DC Longleng has directed the village council chairmen and ward president to take up the matter on top priority and give strict instruction within their concerned jurisdiction.
In another notification the DC has stated that in pursuance of the Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland vide No. GAB-I/COM/GEN-4,2020 Dated Kohima the 12th Nov. 2020 and in continuation to all earlier orders issued with regard to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) to be followed to contain and control the spread of Corona Virus (Covid-19),the following actions shall be taken by the enforcement agencies for violation of SOPs and guidelines issued from time to time.
(Violation /Offence)
1. Not Wearing Mask in public places:- (Including offices, banks, markets and business establishments, restaurants, hotels, public transport, social and religious gathering or meeting, educational institutions. (Penalty) Rs. 100/-every time the offence is committed. (Enforcement agency) Police -Level of ASI and above. Transport-Assistant Road Safety and Enforcement Inspector and above.
2. No hand washing facility/hand sanitizer (Shops and business establishments restaurants and hotels), 1st offence: Rs. 500/-and warning, Offence after one week of 1st offence: Sealing of the establishment with or without suspension of registration/license wherever applicable, till facilities are provided. Enforcement agency: Concerned Urban Local Body.
3. Not adhering to the limit on the number of passengers as per guidelines (Bus, Sumo, Taxi). Penalty: Registration of cases under relevant sections of the National Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Nagaland Epidemic Diseases (Covid-19), regulations 2020. Enforcement agency:- Police -Level of ASI and above. Transport - Assistant Road Safety and Enforcement Inspector and above.
4. Violation or non Compliance of any other, Clauses/provisions of SOPs/advisories currently in force, including but not limited to Quarantine, Isolation, Contact tracing, testing (eg refusal to disclose contacts, refusal to undergo testing, breaking Quarantine or location norm, discrimination or stigmatization of those affected by Covid-19 etc. Penalty: Registration of a cases under relevant sections of the National disaster Management Act, 2005 and Nagaland Epidemic Diseases (Covid-19) Regulations 2020. Enforcement agency: District Task Force.
This order will come into immediate effect from the date of issue of the order.
