Member of Parliament (MP) Lok Sabha, Nagaland, and Chairman DISHA, Tokheho Yepthomi called for the 1st quarterly meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) for the year 2022 at Deputy Commissioner's Conference Hall, Wokha on 28th February 2022.

While giving the opening remark, Yepthomi said the main objective of conducting this meeting is to take first-hand information about the progress, loophole, and achievements of works and regarding all Centrally Sponsored Schemes implemented in the district, where he also stated that after reviewing and taking feedback about the progress of works and status of projects and schemes implemented in the district, he will be submitting the detail reports to the Ministry (GOI), and urged departments implementing central sponsored schemes/projects to give more efforts for early completion of projects and ensure that schemes and projects undertaken should benefit the local populace and also called for good workmanship while executing the works.

During the meeting, the following departments, PWD (R and B), PHED, Food and Civil Supplies, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Rural Development, Urban Development, and other allied departments presented the various activities undertaken under central sponsored schemes in the district.

After reviewing and hearing from the departments about their progress of works, the MP appealed to departments yet to complete the projects to expedite the works at the earliest and also urged the departments to suggest ideas where room for improvements and expansion is required for the benefit of the community.

Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha who chaired the meeting requested all the departments implementing central sponsored schemes and projects to properly supervise and monitor and submit a clear picture as to how many people are getting the benefits out of the projects and schemes. Advisor for Horticulture and Border Affairs GoN, Mhathung Yanthan also attended the meeting.
