The Deputy Commissioner of Longleng, W. Manpai Phom visited the landslide affected site near Yongam village on 3rd July 2025 to assess the situation.
Due to incessant rain, a massive landslide occurred near Yongam village on 2nd July 2025 completely cutting off the road connection between Mon and Longleng district. During the inspection, the DC reviewed the extent of the damage and discussed immediate restoration measures with the officials of the concerned department on-site. The district administration is taking urgent steps to restore the connectivity at the earliest.
The DC further advised the residents to avoid the route until further notice.
