In view of the recent crisis with regard to the detection of Covid-19 positive cases from amongst the players of Longleng team participating in the 21st Inter-District Football Championship 2021, Dr. T. Ao Trophy in Kohima, the Longleng District Administration has clarified that neither the District Tasks Force for Covid-19, Longleng nor the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Longleng were apprised of the mandatory Covid-19 testing to be taken by the players before their departure for Kohima.

Therefore, the district administration Longleng appealed to all concerned to ensure proper dissemination of information in order to avoid the occurrences of such incidents in the future.
