In view of the upcoming World Environment Day, Government Middle School, Forest Colony, Kohima celebrated World Environment Day on 3rd June 2022. The programme was initiated by ECO Club of the school. Members of the Eco Club along with the rest of the teachers and students took part in the program to help protect and preserve the environment in and around the school premises. The motto of this year's program was 'Plant a tree, Save the Earth'. The school carried out planting of 60 saplings of different varieties which were contributed by the Range Office (Silviculture), Kohima division and many other flowering plants which were contributed by various individuals.
