HOME DEPARTMENT INFORMS

In pursuance of the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) and State Executive Committee (SEC) decision, the State Government has declared that the office of Home Commissioner shall also function as Commissioner Disaster Management/ Relief Commissioner and Administrative Head of Department (AHoD) for the Secretariat of Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, Home Department, established as per the provision of Disaster Management Act 2005 Section 14 (1).

The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority Secretariat, Home Department shall have the responsibilities of laying down plans, policies, guidelines, capacity building, resource mobilization including financial & manpower, coordinating with line departments and carry out activities related to Disaster Management to ensure compliance as per the provision of the Disaster Management Act 2005.

The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority Secretariat is one of the divisions of Home Department as enshrined in the Disaster Management Act 2005 Section 14 (1).
