The jubilant spirit of Independence Day was fervently felt in Chumoukedima district as it joined the nationwide celebration. The event took place at Chumoukedima Town Public ground, with Metsubo Jamir, Minister of Rural Development & SIRD, as the esteemed Special Guest. The occasion commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the Rashtriya Salute from a proud assembly of parade contingents, showcasing the district's unity and patriotic fervor.

Minister Metsubo Jamir read out the Independence Day speech and also inaugurated exhibition stalls featuring various initiatives and departments.
