Tuensang District echoed with patriotic spirit as it celebrated the 77th Independence Day at Parade Ground Tuensang. The event was graced by P. Bashamongba Chang, Minister PWD, Housing, and Mechanical, who served as the special guest. The National Flag was hoisted, and the special guest took the salute from a lineup of 12 Parade Contingents, including DEF Tuensang, 3rd NAP Tuensang, VG Tuensang Village, and many more. Minister Chang delivered the Independence Day speech and led the pledge for a Drug-Free Nagaland. The occasion was further marked by the presentation of District awards to meritorious personalities who have made commendable contributions.

Cultural presentations from Changen Cultural Troupe, Sangli Cultural Troupe, Khiamniungan Cultural Troupe, and Kemifu Cultural Troupe added vibrant hues to the celebration. Tuensang School of Music's special performance, the martial arts display by Tuensang Taekwondo Association, and a patriotic song by GHSS Thangjam Choirs enthralled the audience. The inauguration of exhibition stalls by ATMA and Agri & Allied Department, along with the installation of CCTV cameras at Police Station Tuensang, showcased a commitment to progress and security.
