Nine villages under Longleng district namely Tangha, Yonglok, Namhaching, Apoiji, Shetap, Orangkong and Auching villages has declared to allow their cemeteries for burial of COVID-19 victims.

The village functionaries comprised of the Village Council, Students' Union, Church and Citizens' Forum of the respective village has issued a separate joint resolution to allow their citizens to be buried in their cemetery in case of COVID-19 deads. The declaration was made for the citizens not to confuse with the rumours spreading that citizens in some places are deprived to use community cemetery for burial of COVID-19 dead.
