The entire fraternity of Nagaland Board of School Education, Kohima bids farewell to its chairperson in a grand program held on 31st January 2025 at NBSE Conference Hall, Kohima.
At the program, MLA & Advisor, School Education & SCERT, Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome lauded the outgoing Chairperson, Asano Sekhose for having the in-depth knowledge and skilful experiences in building and creating the NBSE, an organised board and placing the state in a forefront in education system. The Advisor also thanked the officer for her dedication as an educator and administrator in shaping and building thousands of students’ futures during her career and also building friendship and trust both at national and international level in the field of education. The Advisor hoped that her legacy will carry on by her predecessors and bring up the name of the NBSE to another higher level.
Commissioner & Secretary, School Education & SCERT, Kevileno Angami in her speech said that the kind of service rendered by Asano as the chairperson of NBSE was tremendous. Kevileno said that because of Asano's dedication, Nagaland State is well ahead of other states in the education system. She said, the reforms in shaping the landscape of NBSE through the Chairperson of Asano is Commendable, and wished the retiring officer a successful retired life.
Speaking at the program, the Retiring Chairperson, Asano Sekhose recounts her journey in the Nagaland Board of School Education since the 1st February 1990 till present date and thanked God for giving good health and guiding her over the years in the public service. She remarked that Office is our second Home and with that feeling, she has worked hard for the upcoming generation. Asano thanked the supporting officers and staff for extending full cooperation in running the office successfully. She also thanked the sister department, School Education, etc for continuous support, and also expressed her gratitude to the Governing Board members for the support and help in preparing the students future. She also extended her appreciation to all the registered schools for the cooperation she received during her tenure as the Chairperson.
Earlier, on behalf of the officers and staff, Secretary NBSE, Rangumbuing Nsarangbe said that outgoing Chairperson had a tremendous service career setting an example to carry on and thanked the Officer for being a guiding star personally and professionally to all the staffs of NBSE and bringing the Board to a new outlook and higher level.
The program started with an invocation by Kekhrielhoutuo Nakhro, Chief Coordinator (IT), NBSE while benediction was pronounced by Dziesevolie Tsurho, Academic Officer, NBSE. The program was chaired by Joint Secretary, NBSE, Ekyimo Shitirie. Officers and staff from School Education, Higher Education, SCERT and others were part of the program.
