BRIEFING ON COVID-19 ON 2nd OF NOVEMBER 2020 FOR NAGALAND BY PRINCIPAL SECRETARY, HOME

The full text is as follows:

 

“A total of 21 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today – 12 in Kohima, 8 in Dimapur and 1 in Mokokchung. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 9,096.

Out of the 9,096 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 7,606. The active cases are 1,363 and there have been 36 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms 1,296 active cases are asymptomatic, 42 active cases are mild, 12 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 6 active cases are severe on oxygen, 6 active cases are critical with oxygen and 1 active case is on ventilator.

Further, out of 9,096 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 3,950 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,658 cases of Returnees, 3,043 cases of Traced Contacts and 445 cases of Frontline Workers.

A total of 62,422 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 61,035 samples have been received. In addition, a total 33,787 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 33,759 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 4,042 samples have been tested.”
