BRIEFING ON COVID-19 ON 4th OF NOVEMBER 2020 FOR NAGALAND BY PRINCIPAL SECRETARY, HOME

The full text is as follows:

“A total of 56 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today – 24 in Kohima, 27 in Dimapur, 2 in Mon, 1 in Phek and 2 in Tuensang. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 9,207.

Out of the 9,207 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 7,934. The active cases are 1,143 and there have been 38 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms 1,091 active cases are asymptomatic, 34 active cases are mild, 8 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 6 active cases are severe on oxygen, and 4 active cases are on ventilator.

Further, out of 9,207 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 3,977 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,664 cases of Returnees, 3,120 cases of Traced Contacts and 446 cases of Frontline Workers.

A total of 63,055 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 61,850 samples have been received. In addition, a total 33,973 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 33,945 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 4,207 samples have been tested.”
