In light of COVID-19 global pandemic and the recent inflow of stranded people from other affected parts of the country into the District and in the interest of the public health, public safety and public order in Mon District Thavaseelan K, IAS has prohibited,

1. Movement of quarantined individuals beyond the quarantine facility/centre.
2. Movement of public within 200 m of all Quarantine Centres within Mon District at all times until further orders.

This order is passed exparte U/S 144 (2) Cr.PC and will come into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force till further orders.

Any one violating the aforesaid order will be liable for punishment under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.

Further in partial modification to this Office Order (No.GA/DEV/COVID-19/2020/56 dated 4th May 2020), DC, Mon issued the following directives for general information of all concerned:

1. All Clothes and Shoes Shops/Stores in Mon Town except Bazaar Area to remain open from Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 2 PM.
2. Guidelines for Clothes and Shoes Shops/Stores located at Bazaar area:-

1. All the Clothes and Shoes located on the Right Hand Side of the road starting from Supermarket Junction and Power House Junction up to SBI, Main Branch will remain open on Mondays and Wednesdays.
2. All the Clothes and Shoes Shops located on the Left Hand Side of the Road starting from Supermarket Junction and Power House Junction up to SBI, Main Branch will remain open on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The same series of roster shall continue till further order. This order will come into effect from 19th May 2020.
