Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant has issued an order that the following items /activities under Tuensang District jurisdiction are exempted from the purview of the Lock down with regard to COVID - 19 prevention :
- Agencies engaged in the procurement of agriculture products including MSP operations.
- Shops of fertilizers.
- Farming operations by farmers and farm workers in the field.
- Intra state movement of harvester and sowing related machines like combined harvester and other agriculture/horticulture implements.
DC also permitted the vehicular movement of angawadi workers under Tuensang District to facilitate their functionaries to collect foodstuff from respective ICDS project offices. All anganwadi workers are to adhere to all Directives/Notifications issued by the Government in view of outbreak of COVID - 19 and to strictly comply by the safety measures and systematically distribute the foodstuff and to avoid gathering of large numbers of workers/AWC functionaries.
