Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant IAS has issued an order for strict compliance of all concerned that Wards /sectors/colonies have set up barricades/check gates to check the movement of people in view of COVID-19 pandemic which is jeopardising the free movement of front line workers on COVID-19 duty.

In this regard, all wards/ sectors/colonies under Tuensang district jurisdiction has been directed to allow free movement of front line workers across any barricades/check gates etc. Any individuals/ organisations/ agencies stigmatizing/ misbehaving/interfering with front line workers on COVID-19 duty shall be dealt seriously. DC also issued an Advisor to all concerned that in the continuation to the previous Public Advisories and orders issued by the District Administration Tuensang to fight the global COVID-19 pandemic the following public advisories are again reiterated for the public health and safety:

1. Wearing mask is mandatory in all public places. Don't go out without putting mask. Mask may be of any kind like surgical, cloths etc. 
2. Public are advised not to come out on the street unnecessarily, if at all for procuring necessary commodities only one person from the family should come out. 
3. Washing of hands and use of hand sanitizers should be made available in all shops and all shop keepers have also been directed to keep hand sanitizers/hand wash arrangement and shop keepers should use hand gloves compulsorily for the safety of the public in general.

Any violations of the above guidelines are to be dealt with the appropriate Section of Law.
