Government of Nagaland, Home Department has highlighted a report on COVID-19 lock down on Law & Order and facilitation of essential Goods & services over the state. The Principal Secretary for Home Department Abhijit Sinha IAS in a report given yesterday i.e 16th April 2020 stated that seven persons had violated lock down and were bound down as the same for remedial steps.

On supply of essential goods, the report said that all the districts have been covered with supply of goods and commodities. And shops for food grains and groceries, milk and medicinal facilities etc were opened in all the districts except in Mokokchung and Kiphire where shops are open on alternate days. 

The report also stated that the movement of essential service providers like electricity, telecom facilities and cooking fuel etc and, of personnel or workers in manufacturing units of essential commodities, commercial vehicles and, of e-commerce agents were all functioning without any restrictions or hindrances.

Suitable arrangement been made for providing food and shelter to effected migrant workers have been continued over the state. In this connection, five (5) relief camps have been set up where 413 migrant labourers were being given shelter adding more than 10,000 daily wagers and needy people were being given food and dry rations.
