The Nagaland Voluntary Consumers’ Organisation (NVCO) observed ‘World Food Safety Day’ on June 7th, 2021 at the State Capital with the theme, “Safe food now for a healthy tomorrow” along with the rest of the world.

All the Health Units under Kiphire District have been directed to prepare the due list of 45 years and above age group for Covid-19 Vaccination. Village wise lists have to be submitted to the Chief Medical Officer’s office on or before June 11th 2021.

Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS has informed that all hardware shops in Dimapur have been allowed to remain open on the below mentioned days: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday from 6:00 A.M till 12:00 Noon.

The proprietor of the hardware shops will be responsible for ensuring compliance to COV1D-I9 SOPs.

Home Department in a circular has informed all Heads of Departments including the offices of NIC, CSO, NCCD, SBI, BSNL and Post Office in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Complex, Kohima to submit list of officers and staff who have not been vaccinated for COVID-19 till date.

The Department of Health & Family Welfare is conducting Intensified COVID vaccination drive from 8th- 18th June 2021 wherein all health facilities and outreach session sites in urban colonies and villages will be covered from Mondays-Fridays.

All the eligible 18-44 years and 45+ years beneficiaries have been requested to avail the opportunity to get the COVISHIELD vaccination.

Rural community comprises over 70% of the State’s total population. In the face of the pandemic, rural community is rendered most vulnerable due to lack of COVID-19 awareness, unpreparedness to pandemics, undernutrition, weak public health infrastructure and services. Failure to empower the rural communities could pose considerable risk which may pose uncontainable.
