Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Anoop Khinchi IAS in an office order informed that, the government will allow movement of locals who are stranded and desires to return back to their home district or villages. The following actions are intended to ensure seamless movement:
- A dedicated facilitation cell is opened at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur from 5th May, 2020 onwards to issue travel permit and start receiving application of stranded local/indigenous people. EAC Dimapur Tsidi will be the Nodal officer for the facilitation centre (mobile no. 7085239106,dcdimapur@gmail.com). Booking of NST bus tickets to be undertaken by this cell. Name, contact no. and destination of the passenger should be compiled for intimation of travel dates.
- All Executive Magistrates through the ward or village authority may compile the list from the respective jurisdiction and submit to the facilitation center.
- Stranded local/indigenous people wanting to travel in their own private vehicle to be allowed after the DC issues necessary permit specifying travel dates.
- This movement regime is permitted for local/indigenous people only and having permanent address in Nagaland.
- Special care should be taken to ensure that social distancing and other protocols are to be maintained at all times, such as compulsory use of face mask and disinfecting/sanitizing of buses etc.
