Till date a total of 786 samples have been sent for testing from the State. Results of 728 samples have been received and all are negative. Results for 58 samples are awaited.

Today, the Hon’ble Chief Minister visited Mokokchung and Wokha where he reviewed the preparedness in combating COVID-19, inspected the COVID hospitals, distributed relief materials and held meetings with the District Administration, Police, the District Task Forces and the Civil Societies. At Mokokchung, the Hon’ble Chief Minister was accompanied by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Hon’ble Speaker, Hon’ble Minister Higher & Technical and Tribal Affairs, Hon’ble Minister, Rural Development, Hon’ble Advisor Treasuries and Accounts and National Highways, and Shri Imkong L. Imchen, Hon’ble MLA. At Wokha, the Hon’ble Chief Minister was accompanied by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Hon’ble Minister Higher and Technical and Tribal Affairs, and Hon’ble Minister, Rural Development.

The Inter District movement of stranded persons desirous of returning back to their districts have begun today under the supervision of the Empowered Group headed by the Additional Chief Secretary and Finance Commissioner. Today a total of 2,434 passengers are travelling back to their respective districts from various locations in 106 buses.

As regard the financial assistance in the form of cash grant to persons from Nagaland stranded, or in distress outside the state, due to the Nationwide COVID-19 lockdown , till now, a total of ­­­­17,439 applicants comprising of 13,159 working people, 4,112 students and 168 patients have been provided assistance by transferring the amounts to their bank accounts.
