The full text is as follows:
“As at 4 pm today, a total of 1405 samples have been sent for testing from the State. The results of 1100 samples have been received, and out of which 4 have been tested as positive. All the four (4) positive persons are now undergoing treatment at COVID-19 Hospitals and their condition is stable. Active surveillance is in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.
The results for the remaining 305 samples are awaited.
A Special Train from Jaipur, Rajasthan has moved today at around 3.00 P.M. with about 370 stranded persons from Nagaland. This train is expected to reach Lumding, Assam on the 28th of May 2020 at around 8.00 A.M. The passengers will be thereafter ferried to Dimapur by buses.
The Government of Nagaland, had reopened the facility for making online applications on the portal iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in for availing the ONE TIME ASSISTANCE of Rs 10,000 (ten thousand) to all the stranded citizens outside Nagaland who voluntarily opted to stay back at their respective places. This facility opened at 10 am on 23rd of May 2020 and closed at 10 am on 26th of May 2020. A total of 15007 applications have been received for availing the ONE TIME ASSISTANCE and active verification is in progress. The release of this assistance is likely to start from 1st June onwards after completion of verification and other necessary formalities.
At the same time, due to the distress being faced by many people of Nagaland stranded outside, the State Government is also actively trying to arrange transportation to bring back its stranded citizens from various locations in India through the following modes of transportation (to be initiated before 1st June 2020) –
- Special Trains from GOA, ANDHRA PRADESH, BANGALORE, RAJASTHAN
- Special BUS from WEST BENGAL, UTTARAKHAND, PUNJAB, DAMAN & DIU, LUCKNOW
It is further informed that in light of the above arrangements, all those who have already applied for the extended One Time Assistance and wish to return to Nagaland by Government Arranged Transportation, including buses, can cancel their APPLICATIONS on the iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in portal by utilizing the Withdrawal Form.
A total of 12244 citizens have signed up in the nCOVID-19 Nagaland – Visitors App since 23rd March 2020 and in the last 14 days 2561 persons have submitted their travel self-declaration. At present 1774 persons are being digitally monitored through the App.
