As on 29th May 2020, no violation of the lockdown was reported in the State. While issuing the report on Law & Order and facilitation of essential Goods & Services, the Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha informed that 150(One Hundred and Fifty) vehicles were challaned under various sections of the MV Act and an amount of Rs. 30,050/- was collected as fine.

On essential goods, shops for food grains and groceries were open in all the districts. Medical shops continue to remain opened in all the districts of the State. No shortage of food grains, groceries milk and medicines have been reported in any part of the State.

According to the report, no restriction was imposed on the movement of commercial vehicles for distribution of essential commodities and service providers like electricity, telecommunication, fuels etc. The report added that there is 1(One) active relief/shelter camp in Kohima. Also, there are 2 (Two) food camps where more than 66 (Sixty Six) daily wagers and needy people were provided food and dry ration by the Government and various NGOs.
