A Cabinet meeting held on 1st June 2020 reviewed the status of arrangements for COVID-19 pandemic and decided to constitute a High Powered Committee Chaired and co-chaired by the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister respectively. The meeting also decided that Minister for Planning, Neiba Kronu and Advisor Information Technology, Science & Technology and New & Renewable Energy, Mmhonlumo Kikon shall be the Spokespersons of the High Powered Committee.

The Spokespersons shall be assisted by a Media Team consisting of Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha, Secretary H&FW, Kesonyu Yhome and Dr Kikameren Longkumer and will brief the media on a daily basis.
