Mbaupunggwa Lui Students' Union celebrated 50 years of God's Faithfulness at Mbaupunggwa Village from 18th-19th December, 2025 under the theme " Journey of Light, Path of Progress". Deputy Chief Minister, T.R. Zeliang was the Chief Host, while Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru graced the celebration as the Special guest.  President of MLBC and Joint Director, DIPR, Igwanglia Simon Teilia was the Guest of Honour. 

T.R. Zeliang in his speech stated that jubilee is a time of remembering and honouring the past, and said the celebration will reinforce core values and inspire the future generations to dream bigger and carry the legacy forward. Zeliang welcomed the momentous occasion and encouraged the younger generation to dedicate to the future. Asserting that the Journey of fifty years is a vision of unity and remembering the pioneers who laid the foundation, he said it is through their vibrant spirit, it has been defined thus far. He further encouraged the students' union to embrace new challenges and dream bigger, work harder and make their union even more remarkable in the near future. He further encouraged the student leaders to set goals and targets for another twenty five years of milestone.

Zeliang also apprised the villagers to look back on how their villagers progress to present day and urged them to think as to how people survived their early life and to thank God for his guidance.  He also advised the villagers to construct each clan morung in the near future to preserve one's culture and tradition.

Igwanglia Simon Teilia, President of MLBC and Joint Director DIPR unveiled the 50 years celebration of God's Faithfulness Monolith and exhorted the gathering to know the purpose of their Jubilee celebration and encouraged them biblically to reset their living physically, economically and seek God for his blessings.

Simon also proposed the Presidential Address, where he expressed his gratitude to all the citizens of Mbaupungwa for actively supporting physically and financially in organising the Jubilee celebration.

Deputy Commissioner Peren released the Jubilee Souvenir and expressed his gratitude for the significant milestone and exhorted the union for their dedication and achievement. DC also highlighted the progress of the union as well as of the village, and exhorted to give honour to their Pioneers reflecting the success of the Union and to set a goal for the future generations. Urging the student’s body to give importance to education, to compete with the rest of the world, Hiazu Meru quoted "nothing can substitute hardwork".

The celebration was highlighted by the Nikalwa BCYD with the Jubilee anthem. Cultural dance was performed by All the Nchangram Students Union and Mbaupunggwa Village Students Union. Invocation and Benediction prayer was pronounced by Hoisosap Pastor, Azailong Baptist Church & Kiramdi Nren, Pastor Nikalwa Baptist Church respectively.
