The 77th Republic Day was celebrated at Parade Ground, Tuensang on 26th January 2026, with Advisor DUDA, Geology and Mining, Chingang Konyak as the Special Guest. The advisor unfurled the National Flag, took Rashtriya Salute and delivered the Republic Day Speech.
The Parade Contingents includes, DEF Tuensang, 3rd NAP Tuensang, Home Guard and Civil Defence, Village Guard from Tuensang Village and Kejok Village, Ex-servicemen, NCC Tuensang and 3rd NAP and Hauhyang Chuba Pipe Bands. The Advisor also Flag off two wheeler Taxi service and inaugurated the Exhibition Stalls set up by various Departments from Tuensang. The Advisor was accompanied by MLA, Lima Onen Chang, MLA, Imti Choba Chang and Host of dignitaries.
Other highlights of the day were Special Presentation by Bethel Children's Home and 29th Assam Rifles Tuensang, and Cultural Presentation by Chang Un Cultural Club and Sangli Cultural Troupe.
Visitation of District Hospital by Tuensang Town Baptist Lashing, District Jail by Sangtam Baptist Lithrongla Tuensang, Bethel Children's Home by Tenyimi Church Tuensang and Kohdi Children's Home by Tuensang Town Ao Baptist Arogo. Exhibition Football match between Government Departments and Chang Wedoshi Setshang (CWS) was played at Loyem Memorial Astro Turf Ground Tuensang.
