Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha has informed all the Deputy Commissioner of Nagaland for precautionary measures for maintaining peace and tranquillity on the occasion of Ram Navami and Hanuman Javanti on 2nd and 8th April 2020 respectively.

He also mentioned that the recent Government Order for lockdown due to the threat of outbreak of Covid-19 has caused strong resentment among some section of the people on religion lines. As such any irritant might lead to communal unrest and in this connection all concerned have been asked to take the required precautionary measures for maintaining of Law and order peace and tranquillity and also to keep strict vigil over the circulation of objectionable content on the social media. Action may be immediately taken for their blocking/ removal, the notification added.
